There are a few places I really would rather be. One is Copper Harbor Michigan. It is at the end of the Keweenaw Peninsula. It is the most peaceful place, unless Lake Superior is angry for the day, but that is nice, too.
Chapleau, Ontario is a great place to go to fish for northern pike. They are exciting to catch (related to the barricuda), and easy to catch (they're *really* dumb). I almost caught one once that didn't even have the hook in his mouth. He was just holding on to the front of the lure. He let go when he was the boat, though. Still a great fish story.
Another place I like to be is in Frederick, Michigan. I really like to be on the river there, fishing for trout with my dry fly rig. I don't catch many fish, but it is an artform in the doing. Wonderful.
