Photography is one of those interests that refuses to go away. On a primary school trip to Dorset I managed to capture Old Harry Rocks on a cheap 110 camera by crawling on my belly to the edge of a cliff. The end result (sadly now lost forever) was worth the scalding I got from Mr. Cooper, the headmaster. As a teenager I was almost put off for life when a 35mm SLR that I had saved long and hard to buy turned out to be broken.
When I came to the U.S. a very kind friend loaned me a Pentax MV body and a couple of lenses. Last year my wife bought me a Pentax ZX–M body, which I use mostly with the 50mm prime from the MV. I would like a wide angle (I'm thinking 35mm or perhaps even 28mm) prime but a higher priority has to be a tripod, so that's what I'm saving for during 2008.
