[Posted in the message of the day by Grex system administration]:

Mon Aug 06 2007 - Grex will be down this coming weekend, August 11-12, for
operating system upgrades. We expect that this will take up the weekend,
and possibly longer, but we hope to contain downtime to two days. -cross

Not considering internal links, links on this page which are preceded by
two asterisks "**" are links to web sites which were designed and edited
by RKSJR. [Two asterisks are used (as opposed to only one asterisk) to reduce
the confusion created by the single asterisk which some browsers cause to
be momentarily flashed in front of a link when progressing from one screen
to another.]

about his (Dr. Philip Taylor's) conversion of the energy source of
his home to a solar powered system, i.e. how "A college professor
and his wife brave a midwestern winter, bureaucratic hassles and
faulty inverters to install a solar electric system on the roof of

                        Footnotes

1. "Logoi" is the plural of the Greek word "logos", which the
   dictionary [2.] defines as follows: "speech; sermon; word, reason;
account." Thus (for at least one of the dictionary definitions)
"logos" = "word", and therefore, "logoi" = "words". [3.]

2. Divry's New English-Greek and Greek-English Dictionary,
Edited by G. C. Divry and C. G. Divry, Revised Edition, D.C. Divry,
   Inc., New York, 1971.

3. "It's only words, and words are all I have..." [4.], because Grex
policy requires that I not introduce any graphic, audio, or CGI files
on Grex, in compliance with the Grex policy. Incidentally, there are
good reasons for these limitations. [5.]

4. From the song "Words", composed by Barry, Maurice, and Robin Gibb of
   the Bee Gees, circa 1968.

5. There are good reasons for the limitations (i.e. the limitations
referred to in note 3.): i. graphic and audio files consume band-
width extravagantly, ii. internet bandwidth is expensive, and iii.
Grex is a non-profit organization surviving on user contributions
and member dues. Therefore please support Grex by contributing
and/or by becoming a dues paying member. [6.] (There is no charge to
become a Grex registered user, however, registered users who are not
dues paying members do not have voting privileges in the Grex
elections which decide how Grex is run.)

6. See the links in the "Help Support Grex" section at the Welcome to Grex!
web site, or contact Mark Conger, the Grex Treasurer, at

Understandably, I'm not the only RKSJR on the information super highway;
i.e. there are other participants in the wonders of the world wide web
with the same initials as mine, "RKSJR".

For example, I recently discovered by performing a web search on myself,
that among other RKSJRs, there is an "RKSJR" referred to in one of the
pages of the web site at altdotcom (replace "dot" with a ".") who is not
me.
