The following passage, not including comments or deletions in square
brackets "[]", was excerpted from Lesson 7 of The Grex HTML Tutorials:

Sometimes it helps to look at the code that has been used on an
existing web page. To view the source code of a page that is in your
browser window, [if the "VIEW" command has not been disabled by
    encryption software]
     * Netscape - Select VIEW in the menu bar, then PAGE SOURCE
     * Internet Explorer - Select VIEW in the menu bar, then SOURCE
     * Either way, this creates a new window, so you must close it with
the "X" in the upper right when you are finished.

Incidentally, this trick will not necessarily work in a popup window,
[...]. You will have to select the full page links first.

When using the Lynx browser, the source code may be accessed by pressing
the backslash key "\".
