MAJOR NON-EMPLOYMENT PROJECTS
- 2003 Wrote article Oracle Regular Expressions, referenced in Oracle Magazine, bringing a previously little known yet powerful Oracle package to many DBAs. attention.
- 2001 - 2003 UNIX system programming project: Wrote pio/topio in C and Perl, programs never written before by others, now being used by many Solaris administrators in the world. This achieves what top command is unable to, sorting processes by I/O.
- 2000 - 2003 Oracle internals project: Building a list of undocumented x$ tables with my understanding and common usage, for advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- 2000 Oracle/Perl project: Wrote Windowsoerr, currently the most downloaded freeware from my Web site. It makes the very useful Oracle UNIX utility oerr available to Windows users.
